Since the spray rails were made of F/G instead of aluminum, the builder chose to remove only

the front 6" of the spray rails.  He then modified the auxiliary sponsons so they would fit OVER

the remaining spray rails.  This made installation more complex, Barry says, but the result is

a good, strong bond and a smooth fit.
