George Bell's Coot Gallery

Here is a Coot success story, in spite of multiple owners.  This pretty example of the Coot, N69BD, was built in succession byJack Hasselfeldt (MI), Bob Dorr (MA) and Ray Johnson (NJ). After Barry Bsangert bought it and took it home to Lake Tahoe, he found that water performance was compromised by the high altitude (low air density). So he added auxiliary sponsons, as demonstrated in the top four photos. This improved its performance greatly, and the next 4 photos show Barry having fun on the lake..

Now owned by George Bell in Valley, WA, N69BD is goingi through its paces again.
