This is the opposite view, looking forward from Station 148.  Note the primed (yellow) aluminum angles that secure the wing spar frames (96 & 127) to the sides of the wood hull.

The vertical risers glued to the back of the 96 frame will provide support to

the fuel tank, when it has been installed.  The horizontal aluminum tube

resting on the mid-line tank support is destined to torque the ailerons.
